I think your pulling my question back into the single-payer narrative. I’m not tied to a solution, I’m talking about syntax/perception.
The correct answer is: Single payer doesn't equal to "gov Monopoly on healthcare". Almost every single payer system out there is coupled with private sector healthcare. Almost every single one of them is better for the bottom 50% and comparable for the upper 49.
Idk. Our current system is a low bar on freedom. A big reason entrepreneurship is so low is because healthcare is tied so closely to employment. And your insurance company takes away your right to choose with their networks. And going in to debilitating debt isn't freedom either.
