Most people are happy most of the time and happy they were born (says happiness research), and we're nowhere close the Laniakea supercluster's carrying capacity, so there's room for plenty more sentient intelligent life.

No, global warming is not an existential risk, IMHO. Not compared to nukes, engineered bioweapons, and AI.
