You’re completely misrepresenting her viewpoint. She’s *specifically stated* that you don’t need to tax to pay for things. Why does this seem to happen so often? In case you want to understand her viewpoint, it’s known as Modern Monetary Theory (MMT).http://neweconomicperspectives.org/2013/03/what-is-modern-monetary-theory-or-mmt.html …

So 'Modern Monetary Theory' just sounds like a way to justify stealing people's wealth through printing money & inflation rather than through honest & transparent taxes.

Not exactly, but very close to effectively so. Government issues its own money to *pay* but will need to tax heavily to destroy money to avoid excessive inflation. Who gets taxed doesn't matter from an accounting perspective as long as dollars are destroyed...

Taxation is then more strategic than it is now.

Or re-capturing some of wealth stolen through rent-seeking and anti-competitive practices. However you choose to frame it.

The way you have framed it, Jim, should prefer taxation over MMT. The working man is much more likely to be harmed by inflation.

So does this mean you aren't against taxation, just when it's use is not being transparent?

Only if your goal is to satisfy an agenda is it like that. To the rational and more objective, it’s a way to leverage our sovereign currency and get to a better outcomes faster. Taxing to prevent inflation is an easier sell than taxing to pay for stuff.
