Just because someone wasn't raised with purity culture doesn’t automatically mean they've done the work to develop a healthy sexual ethic.
I've taught human sexuality for 15 years, and IMHO very few college students have developed _any_ clear sexual ethics for themselves. Sad but true.

I didn't as a college student. I wasn't sexually active until I turned 18, and because I didn't have a blueprint for sexual ethics (the only one I got from my evangelical upbringing was "don't do it until you're married") I had to figure it out as I went.
