Seems even more devious than that: words that appear both grammatically and semantically correct, until you read a little closer. Like an Escher sentence: “More people have been to Russia than I have”.

It’s not literally meaningless though: it ᴍᴇᴀɴs something contradictory in terms (“colorless green”) and in other ways impossible (ideas can’t sleep). Contra Chomsky, that sentence is as meaningful and false as 2 + 2 = 5. It is nonsensical in a way, but not sᴇᴍᴀɴᴛɪᴄᴀʟʟʏ.
