Looking forward to speaking with @joerogan on his podcast tomorrow. What topics should we cover? (Go ahead, get us into trouble.)

Does DMT give any valid insights (e.g. helping to 'see behind The Simulation', in some sense), or is it just another meaningless kind of hallucination?

How would you quantify this? Not being glib. Could you give an example of an "invalid" hallucinatory insight.

A valid hallucinatory insight would be one you write down, and test empirically, and it proves correct and replicable. Many examples of that across the sciences -- basically creative imagination is being supercharged. Invalid would be, it doesn't withstand any empirical test.

Thanks for clarifying. So you're basically saying it's validity would need to be subjected to methodological analysis, and then confirmed through replication. Can you think of anything example where that would be possible?

If Einstein had consumed cannabis would he had more or less “valid insights”?

He didn't seem to need it. His visualization powers were unusually strong.
