Health insurance isn't something you do with your body. It's something you do with your finances.

It has a profound influence on health care, which is all about your body. If you value bodily autonomy, you should value financial autonomy over the health care that takes care of your body.

That’s kind the only way insurance can work. Shared risk. As a man my premiums help pay for other’s ovarian cancer treatments I’ll never need. Womens’ premiums help cover prostate cancer treatments for others. A la carte coverage in group plans doesn’t work financially.
