FWIW - I’d suggest that the AI field has always been and remains highly political (small ‘p’, not D vs R) and thus MSM generally reports on it v unreliably.

I've been cautiously hopeful for this for a while.

The protein folding problem isn't as important as designing proteins with the right properties. It might help us understand why proteins are more likely to miss-fold as cells age. One additional tool in a still long list of necessary ones.

Or it could just decide humans are a pest and wipe us out.
