TIL that some universities add the sentence "There is a strong internal candidate" when advertising a position for which there is a strong internal candidate. Seems to me that this sentence saves a lot of people a lot of time and energy. Is there *any* good reason *not* to do so?
If they're being radically honest, they should give an estimated % likelihood that they'll hire the internal candidate. There's a big diff between 25% and 90%....
