PhD programs are usually more open ended but MD programs have a regularity, no? A set number of years?

The simple reason is that everyone leaves an MD program with their peers as friends, but everyone leaves the PhD program as bitter, sworn enemies.

Stanford has an undergrad yearbook, but not PhD yearbooks as far as I know.

Med students do skits where they do impressions of their professors. And they get to wear white coats. The whole shebang is vastly superior to our dinky Ph.D. programs.
