All of @primalpoly ‘s tweets referencing the replicability of EP hypotheses state that EP relative to social psych replicate better and/or hypotheses grounded in evo theory are more likely to replicate. Both fair, but never that _all_ replicate. That would be ridiculous.

Seems intuitively correct. Studies whose design & conclusions are not influenced by politico-social pressures are going to replicate better than the same studies that are so influenced. I would expect astronomical findings not influenced by astrology to likewise hold up better.

I'd argue it's a mistake to think that researchers in EP don't have just as many politico-social influences as in other fields. (I strongly argued the opposite in my younger years but I see now how I unwittingly let assumptions in without realising.)

I've worked in EP for 30 years, and have changed my mind about most sociopolitical issues during that time. FWIW.
