I asked a well-known coder if anyone can learn to code. He said that it's just like writing instructions for an extremely literal minded person.

Almost everyone can hypothetically learn to code. Just like I could hypothetically learn to be a chef. But you gotta enter the mindset to do it, and you have to solve your own damn problems, often.

I was a TA for an introductory class and I wrote a book on it. I believe anyone can assuming they don't have a severe mental disability. I think it's like learning to draw. It seems impossible to outsiders but people who've pushed through know it's within reach.
