My impression is that it works best for very high verbal IQ, high impulse control people with plenty of resources. I would be concerned if it was adopted or encouraged at a population level & would be worried about women's & children's safety primarily.

My biggest reaction, thinking about it, is to the rationalism of it all - it seems to exclude the furious passion and selfishness of love, and wants to make something clean and transactional of it.
