Need to read Hegel, Kojève, Sartre/de Beauvoir, Foucault, Derrida and Lacan first. Basic understanding of Nietzsche, Heidegger, and Deleuze & Guattari doesn’t hurt, either. Apart from Hegel, Nietzsche, Heidegger, and maybe some Sartre, that’s a whole lotta wasted time.
I've read all that stuff, which is why I know Butler is nonsense.

I hate to admit it but the main reason I have read some of those authors is that I wanted to see if there is any sense in her thinking. And forgot to add Critical theory.
