Also what’s meant by social conservatism? Doesn’t seem like anyone cares to fight gay rights/marriage any longer, so there’s no return in that regard (and in other examples).

I’m not sure about that Geoffrey. It’s being advanced as an alternative to call-out culture and at least at 1st glance seems much more palatable.

There are many competing "conservative" viewpoints. For example i follow you and agree on many topics, among those the danger radical leftism represents currently, but I am strongly in favour of abortion rights and I don't think marriage is a relevant institution. Or religion.

Is it really surprising, though. I mean, with immigration constantly altering public attitudes from importing different ideas, wouldn't it be logical to wonder if high immigration from religiously and socially conservative regions would cause that effect?
