Be sure to try "hotpot" (火锅) while there. Sichuan is the home of hotpot, and there is nothing like it anywhere in the US. I suggest coupling it with a good Chinese malt beer such as Shenzhen's Kingway - and caution that American spicy gradations fall well short of their scales.
