Always appreciate your voice bro....always read your tweets and take time to chase down threads if needed. Sometimes I think you exaggerate how predominant this stuff is in real life...then something like this comes out and I think twice about that. This is truly sickening.

I honestly admire your position on this. I read this as a layman and felt as though the tenets of my life were undesirable and that handing it off to my kids is unacceptable. I'm not going to pretend to be versed in study. Blue collar masculinity seems like a relic.

Agreed. Imagine you're a man who feels hopeless/depressed/lost/isolated. You finally work up courage to get some help and you wind up face to face with a therapist who wants to "address" your "issues of privilege and power." What a nightmare. This is NOT what men need.

Precedent these guidelines set is dangerous, harmful, and wrong. Indoctrination into ANY sociopolitical ideology should not be a precondition for men to receive assistance with psychological issues. APA is pushing a large segment of an already averse population even farther away.
