Eg my take is that intellectual-yet-idiots are IQ smart, but if they can’t get rich they are actually idiots. Or go straight for inclusive fitness: extrapolated of healthy offspring in 10 generations. By that measure a lot of low IQ people are smarter than intellectual idiots.
Some of us have optimized our lives for things other than wealth, such as discovering new knowledge that can advance our civilization, promoting Effective Altruism, and raising families. Does that mean we're 'idiots'? According to some, apparently. But you're better than that.

If it includes having healthy offspring I’m all with you. If intellectual pursuits remove you from the gene pool, that doesn’t seem smart. So I abandon the wealth metric. It just means that I consider low IQ people with kids smarter than childless high IQ.
