Has suffering in imagination,in thought not become a political tool? All those animals never know, never have an idea about their dead before they get killed. They live a life with care for wellbeing to grow as fast and healthy as possible. Quite different from humans who "care"!

You really need to visit a pig farm and see what actually happens.

That is a bit of a straw man. I would hazard that, at the least, 7/10 ppl would be aghast at the suffering of another living thing, if you could really pin them down on it. It's not the suffering that gets mocked, but the moralizing.

How much, and of what type of suffering is acceptable? Still have never heard a cogent argument explaining why it’s unethical to kill and eat animals.

Read Peter Singer's 'Animal Liberation' maybe?

It basically does not matter. That is, if you want an actual value ratio, humans are (at least) millions of times as valuable as other animals.
-
i can see an argument that humans have the capability to suffer the most of all animals. but millions of times more - where's the justification for that?
