Nah, economic libertarians would point out that the social responsibility the the firm is the maximize shareholder value. Clearly these policies are in violation of that tenet, and thus the leadership of the companies should be replaced by those who have such a commitment.
Thank you. This is a key point. Political signaling by C-level execs is not often aligned with shareholder interests. Or those of any other stakeholders, for that matter.
