The bad math argument assumes the 5.7B number is for total budget need though, rather than filling a gap. Good policy or not, that would be an addition of 5.7B, not "only" 5.7B.

Does pre-K run year round or does it follow the normal school calendar? I think it's runs ~180 days and it's just day care in the summer and holidays.
