I really don't know what we should do in Syria. I think 99 percent of you are about as clueless as me, even if you pretend otherwise. So I have to defer to the actually knowledgable people whose judgment I generally trust.
Given the last 20 years of American foreign policy fiascoes, shouldn't we err on the side of avoiding foreign entanglements and dubious wars?

If nothing else, the evidence suggests the handful of US forces in and around Syria serve as a powerful deterrent. More than likely pro Assad forces, ISIS and the Russians would commit far greater atrocities if we weren't there.
