The decision to pull out of Syria was made despite overwhelming military advice against it. It is a major blunder. It it isn’t reversed it will haunt this administration & America for years to come.

I trust Jim Mattis over a guy who created a charity to benefit himself, and made this particular decision after a phone call to the guy who has destroyed Turkish democracy, and has a vested interest in killing our Kurdish allies.

Why, because Mattis is an expert on these issues, knows the nitty gritty details, the stakes, is a true patriot, and as odd as it sounds a humanist. He didn't carry a copy of the Iliad on tour in Iraq (as did Alexander) he carried around The Meditations by Marcus Aurelius.
