Should the U.S. respect the sovereignty of other nations?

I respectfully disagree. I think it’s much more complex than that. Did my old man who was president have beef with the nation or is the government committing genocide? How armed are they? What is best for everyone? Sorry but it’s anything but simple.

If we're not willing to obey the international law, we should say so and withdraw from all relevant treaties.

International law isn’t a real thing, there is no enforcement mechanism. The answer is, only if there is justification. For instance, violating Pakistan’s sovereignty to get Osama Bin Laden.

So long as the nation in question is itself respecting the sovereignty of other nations, and the basic human rights of its citizens. The non-aggression principle is worth adhering to. Total pacifism is not. There are actions through which a nation can lose its sovereignty.

But, to be fair, the whims of our economic imperatives aren’t one of them.

International law IS NOT REAL. It sounds good, like United Nations used to be, but it is junk.
