Ok, so by monogamy I didn't just mean marriage, but relationships in general. Monogamous marriage is legally enforced. That's (partly) because society gets exponentially complicated if we adjust the scope of the family unit beyond where it is. 1/
So a company should only be allowed to enter into one contract at a time with one other company, lest the economy get 'too complicated'?

That's a narrow view of what I said. The family unit as a recognized social entity has value to us. When we change our long standing concept of family, we should expect to see it have consequences. ex: who is the masculine role model for a young boy who has 2 dad's & 1 mom? 1/
