Free speech is a double-edged sword. Sure you can say what you like, but that comes with repercussions for what you say. The best way to combat hate speech is to allow people to use it and let them face the social ramifications.
If you believe there should be 'social ramifications' for everything people say that you disagree with, then you don't believe in free speech as a cultural value. You've outed yourself as a censorious fascist.

Saying “(insert group here) are *****, scourge of the earth” tends to piss off people of that religion/culture/race, etc. I’m saying that your words hold weight, so be prepared to feel the weight of them on others
