So no animal experiments to see if [X] could save a human life? Is the quality of suffering equivalent between humans & other animals? I find the notion of using suffering as the sole dimension of ethical examination to be very questionable (surely it’s one, but in a matrix).
I support animal experimentation, bc I think the suffering/benefit tradeoffs make it ethically defensible in many cases. Eating chickens, pigs, & farmed fish comes nowhere close IMHO in terms of suffering/benefit ratio - but I'm open to evidence otherwise.

I understand & it’s really hard to have a good discussion w/ Twitter limits. I think we’ve in agreement on it being an ethical matrix. How to define that matrix & how animal suffering ranks against human suffering, nutritional needs, and taste is way beyond T limits.All the best
