some European univesrsities are better than many private US univ. quality is good ( given the level of most UD HS graduates who enter the system). For some degrees and Univs even 50k/yr tuition is worthwhile. but this is exception rather than the rule now.

but many kids leave college with large tuition loans and little real life skillsa nad prospects on the job market. Higher Ed is creating a huge class of young unhappy, mal-educated college grads who are already responding massively to the siren song of Bernie & al.
