For all the increased awareness around consent nowadays, I'm a little surprised there hasn't been bleedover into libertarianesque stuff, considering the prime value of that stuff is basically 'violating my consent is bad'

The nonaggression principle is hard to square w/ anything b/c it's not clear (to me anyway) what the principle means/should mean (beyond the slogans). I'd be interested in learning about a description of the principle w/ enough content to be of help w/ difficult political issues.

It’s probably because leftists treat consent as if a complicated innovation. Or they try to smuggle hokey totalitarian amendments into the concept. Normal consent is tediously obvious to libertarians. It’s not that interesting or useful to talk about.
