Yes, all points on the political spectrum are worthy of respect, if adopted rationally, held honestly, and expressed constructively. And the distribution of faculty views shouldn't be _hugely_ different from the distribution of student, parent, or citizen views. You disagree?

Nonsense. There are many points on the political spectrum that I strongly oppose - these receive neither my support nor respect. How about you? Surely there must be views that you strongly oppose? Do you respect and support these if their proponents seem like nice folks to you?
