Is it OK for people to advocate for the interests of groups that are larger than the individual but smaller than the human species -- like a family, neighborhood, city, nation, religion, race, or sex?

The ethical action would be to find a positive-sum solution. And if one can’t be found, then flip a coin. The Mafia are a good example of what happens when interfamilial relations are viewed as a zero-sum game.
