Yes. It's not even close. BUT advocacy for smaller groups is good and ethical only within margins of the limits of our knowledge and the consequences of the advocacy. If survival of the 'species' may be at stake, 'human' civilization living on to fill the universe is everything.

It's more OK if it's an honest 'growing-the-pie' kind of advocacy rather than within a zero-sum kind of situation where more for my group necessarily means less for someone else's.
