Culture *consists of* knowledge, created by people, which none of us "has" when we're born. We assimilate it, each of us, and recreate it anew in our own minds as we grow into it. Shouldn't we expect an AGI to do the same? Unless we exclude it from our culture out of fear.
Damned right I want to exclude it out of fear. Fear is very useful when you're facing a demon.

This position, which has a very similar logic as racism, is favored by a great many non-racists, I think b/c a confusion over the nature of knowledge, how its created, etc. You're imagining some kind of deity, which can't exist physically. And knowledge-growth is physical.

You're severely underestimating the power of what is essentially a human that can learn simply by downloading knowledge almost instantly, can connect to the internet and know exactly how everything works, and could possibly determine that humans need wiping out.
