I hope you appreciate that many people who are critical of the Left started out on the Left, and were pushed out by social justice mobs baying for blood. The Left has no honor, and will eat you alive, no matter how hard you've fought their 'good fight'

Self-identified socialist here; I agree w/criticisms of segments of the Left that do devour their own, having seen it happen. What confounds me is that behind the scenes, there appears to be substantial support for the worldview loosely described as "non-hostile Left."
I'll wait for the 'non-hostile' Left to clean house and purge the psychopaths. Until that happens, why trust any of them?

I understand why you feel that way; in my case, the reason is because I'm one of those non-hostile Left trying to do that cleaning work.
Another reason would be that one holds (at least some of) those beliefs and still wants to advocate for them. -
Of course, eventually we come to concrete arguments/positions/policies and not just amorphous "Left" and "Right." Things can look very different when you zoom in to that level.
