People who mostly agree don’t push the dialogue forward. There was once Crossfire, is still Intelligence Squared. There were presidential debates. Intelligent, civil, provocative. And BS knows this. John Stuart Mills knows this. Today’s right wing men just prefer softballs. Sad.

If somene had asked me about watcging tucker on Bens show a year ago I would have thought, ugh...alright. Ill watch it and see what Ben has to say. But I find myself more and more intrigued by Tucker Carlsons ideas and dare I say, compassion. I dont think I could honestly

Fascinating. I wonder if they don't think in Nash equilibria that sweep people away helplessly, or if they have that concept but are talking around it because it's too complicated or doesn't sound hopeful?

To expand: They talk about humans vs machines when I'd say the conflict is between human interests and soulless social equilibria of humans. You can't "just choose a different path" because there's no simple nice slogan that gets you a simple nice outcome when people hear it.
