Moral disgust basically when people avoid doing "something" because there's something negative about the "thing." Then over time the people forget what the negative effect was, and in some cases the negative effect goes away, but people come up with reasons to avoid the "thing."
Sources? An interesting set of categories to be explored (and added to - is there disgust inflation or stagflation?)
What about the sense of taste?
What I find more amazing is how the little barking dog syndrome can be also applied to humans on twitter.
