Totally. This tweet made me reflect on the fact that I have never been ambitious.

am a failure. always will be. my ambition was to be 1 of the greatest mathematician and pianist AND juggler AND millionaire. But it turns out, i'm just slightly above homeless in city street. I like to think what failed artist would think. O, the great artists who died in poverty

I am sorry to hear that you’re struggling man. I often feel the same way about myself. I am sure that there is more positive in your life than you let on and that things will turn around career wise. Good luck to you!

Hmmm...likely a horrified-but-objectively-incorrect F: At 18 I was a delusional devout catholic trying to become a nun. Now I’m a non-believer raising my three daughters in a secular atheistic household. Amen.

My current self is much more ambitious and promising than my anxious, uncertain 18 year old self, so I think the younger me would find the present state encouraging.

My younger self would think I did fine career-wise, but would think it was completely crazy that I got married at 22. My younger self was wrong.

You killed the part that would have disagreed with you. Not saying you were wrong to do it. But the semantics matters.
