Free from legal punishment, sure. But I don't think it's inappropriate for a professor to kick out a student who intentionally and repeatedly violates decorum and interrupts the class.

Talking only in generalities and with no further context...you should be able to speak your mind freely when something (on-topic) needs to be said and contributes to the group, edgy or not. If it’s edgy just to entertain or offend with no productive point, then no.

I took a minorotirs class in college back in early 2000s. I was 1 of 3 ppl who were not progressive in the entire class. I heard a lot of offensive things that were permitted b/c it was against whites or America. Irritated me, but glad I knew what ppl really thought.
