'Free college for all' means colleges would become entirely financially controlled by the government. This means that what gets taught would become entirely ideologically controlled by the government. We're already halfway there. Think about it.

... yes...? I sincerely don't get this. Some governments do overstep their bounds here (often state govts), but that doesn't negate value of public high school imo. Also, unis are often already 1/3 supported by federal grants, and have no say in what is taught

although, to be clear, Trump already *has* threatened schools to get federal funding pulled because those schools disagree with his agenda (Harvard, Berkeley), so I'm not sure how this isn't already happening now.

The government seems like the least influential pressure in that direction. The student and professor bodies are both far more critical of all of those things, while govt is close to 50/50 left-right.
