the free speech academia stuff is only interesting if you are near or in academia. i get that it could be a problem but i don’t need to read about it more than, say, three times a year.

Well science, politics and free speech after a in depth methaphoric anaylsis can all be translated into an art. Science, politics and free speech all represent something beyond surface level. Knowledge, an art only few men with like minds of Galileo and Eienstein will comprehend.

More express application of #2 to the other categories, I bet, would also be of high interest.
