4) Libertarians are good at warning about the unanticipated economic side-effects of laws, policies, & political attitudes. But who considers their unanticipated side-effects on mating markets, relationships, & reproduction -- which often matter more to people than money does?

5) Mainstream media promotes the view that 'politics = economics + social justice'. This obscures the deeper reproductive stakes. We've increased average GDP/capita, but if many people can't start families until their 30s (if ever), maybe there's more to a civilization than GDP

The casualty rates for young men in the sexual marketplace are worse than the Battle of the Somme (33%). Greater than 40% will be abandoned by their wives, their children taken from them, their wealth confiscated. I'd fight in that battle before getting remarried.

Disaffected, purposeless young men are a threat to social order. Governments know this; in the US, the opioid epidemic has been allowed to flourish accordingly — population control. It focuses the mind (getting high) and gradually reduces the size of the disaffected population.
