Step one is for everybody to learn more about (1) firearms and (2) constitutional law, so any suggestions are better grounded in physical & legal reality. Most 'gun control' ideas show profound ignorance about gun culture, how firearms work, & which ones cause the most problems.

Bull. What you’re really saying is that it’s impossible to get rid of 300m guns if we aren’t allowed to make any real change to laws or attitudes. Sure. In the future just phrase your challenge honestly before wasting our time.

US civilians own at least 10x more guns than the police & military combined. Confiscation is a non-starter, and discussing it is a waste of time.

I'd say you should think about mental health and social problems of people who comit these crimes. exYugoslavia is full of military grade weapons leftover from the war, on top of bunch of people "damaged" by war, yet mass murders are non-existent...

I think you are right about people needing to learn more about guns. But opposing any and all gun legislation is crazy. The NRA approach is dangerous. There are ways to make people safer without taking everyone’s gun away

Michael, see step one above. Extended mag likely had zero influence on number of shots fired. With a few minutes training you can swap mags in a fraction of a second. And when you’re in a gun free zone that is not enough time to eliminate the threat.
