Imagine if our government treated gun violence like it does terrorism. The security we’re put through to prevent a dozen deaths a year vs. anyone can walk in anywhere with any type of gun with military size magazines & massacre a dozen in seconds. Gov response? Thoughts & prayers

Nah. Leftie here: all the liberals/lefties/Dems in my neck of the woods would be strongly against gun prohibition. Yuppie enclaves aside, gun control is unpopular in Oregon, even amongst liberals. Many of us own guns and most would fight prohibition tooth & nail.

That said, it could be a PNW thing. Both conservatives & liberals here lean a little libertarian (on the right) or anarchist (on the left). So YMMV. Just saying: lots of pro-gun liberals!
