I would love to know what the administrators think is the practical purpose of such policies (also the consequences in the event of a breach). (Also what constitutes a breach?). Yikes.

Only under certain circumstances, e.g., if one is phenotypically identifiable as a member of a protected class, wearing a Bernie or Bust pin, wearing a colander (Pastafarian), covered in piercings and tats, etc.

There are only two reasons you would have trouble fulfilling this requirement 1) you got super unlucky in that the only excellent students you taught in a very very high % of your classes were white and male, or 2) you are racist and/or sexist
