I’m the first one to attack the moronic stupidness of socialism & PC ideology, but you have too much faith in an authoritative regime that nominally is it still attached to communism while practicing crony capitalism. It’s reckoning is coming as it’s political fissions widen.

Our bet is the same one since the beginning of the Republic— that the American system for all of its flaws is a highly competitive system with other nations. Maybe China will get to parity, but it has major serious problems (shadow debt, IP rights, rural vs urban inequality).
Key difference is, China seems to have the clarity, will, and power to solve its problems. Name a major internal problem that the US has solved in the last 20 years.

I agree we seem to currently be in a decadent phrase, which needs to be solved. But one could have said the exact same things about the Soviets in the 1950s (clarity, will & power) but the nature of their system failed them.Crony capitalism w/ fascist overtones has a prob with IP

Btw, side note: the best discussions are like this one. We’re close on overall philosophy of government but disagree on a side issue (China). It generally makes for more interesting discussions.
