Can't you just have a non-partisan body draw up districts, while you wait for AI to figure it out? It's what everyone else does.

The fix isn't to draw the lines better. The fix is to move to a more parliamentary system with multiple reps per boundary. This also fixes the FPTP issue. So, for instance, eliminate all districting within the state and simply take the top X candidates.
