That would only be true if we didn't care about the megafauna the cows replace, and if we stocked cattle at similar densities. I care about wild mammals, and stocking rates of cattle are massively greater than pre-pastoral mammal biomass. So no, it's not.pic.twitter.com/QtYRw7fyzW
