I think you may be right, but it is not that small an amount at all! Roughly speaking, cattle (for meat and milk) accounts for something close to 10% of all greenhouse gases emissions in the world. That's in the same order of magnitude as all cars, maybe a bit more, and several

times that of all aircrafts. And I'm not even sure this figure of ~10% comprises the indirect emissions of deforestation which may ultimately serve to feed cattle...
