Re the “the more educated you are the more likely you’ll vote Democrat” debate - I’d love to see an educational breakdown of libertarians I think of us as an intellectually curious bunch, I’d love to know many of us have formal degrees vs self taught
Libertarians consistently score highest on tests of general intelligence, reasoning, and systematizing. Not necessarily the most 'educated' formally, but IQ and credentials are two different things.

they are libertarians because they don’t understand their lucky high iq gives them opportunities in a systematically free society that people with lower iq would not have. or, they understand this but think it’s ok because their high iq makes them special.

I think libertarianism has a marketing and branding problem. The word sounds peculiar. I think something like “centrist” or something invoking levelheadedness and moderation would work.

While at the Rally for the Republic I was able to talk with a number of libertarians who wanted to convert me. They seemed pretty smart and the bonus was they knew how to talk without belittling

What does this have to do with libertarians? Studies tend to show two things: 1. Socially liberal people have higher IQs than socially conservative people. 2. Economically right-wing people have higher IQs than economically left-wing people. Now put these two things together.

Another prominent trait of libertarians is lack of empathy, which probably explains their inability to care about how insufferable they are as they boast about how intelligent libertarianism is, endlessly.
