Need for cognition (NFC) and thereby epistemic curiosity is highly correlated with high IQ. They are not the same though. So I would go for the combo of high IQ (thereby high learning abilities) with an explosive NFC (and high conscientiousness of course...)

Well there are many different IQ tests, some of which include verbal and other tests and some that don’t. But it’s not exactly a measure of learning ability.
